Skip the Mall. Do it Right.

Ear piercing guns cause unnecessary trauma to delicate tissue. At Dahlia, every child's piercing is performed with a sterile needle, implant-grade jewelry, and a piercer trained to make the experience calm, safe, and positive — with zero pressure if they change their mind.

NO GUNS. EVER. Piercing guns can't be fully sterilized, force a blunt stud through tissue instead of creating a clean channel, and are designed for speed — not safety. A needle creates a cleaner piercing, heals faster, and causes significantly less trauma to the surrounding tissue. It's not a preference. It's the professional standard.

COME PREPARED For earlobe piercings ages 9 and up: parent or legal guardian present for the entire appointment, child's birth certificate, and valid photo ID for the parent or guardian. For all other piercings ages 16 and up: everything above plus a valid photo ID for the minor. If last names differ between documents bring supporting paperwork such as a marriage certificate or legal name change documentation.

PLAN YOUR VISIT Your appointment is private and unhurried. Melissa will walk through everything before anything happens — placement, jewelry options, what the process feels like, and aftercare. There's no rush and no pressure. Questions are not just welcome, they're expected. If your child is nervous, that's completely normal. Melissa is experienced at helping young clients feel at ease and will move at whatever pace feels comfortable.

BODY AUTONOMY If your child decides today isn't the day, we stop. Immediately, completely, and without question. No fees, no pressure, no attempt to talk anyone into anything. We will never pierce someone who isn't ready — and we'll be here whenever they are. This applies to teenagers too. Nobody gets pierced at Dahlia unless they genuinely want to be there.

Ready to book? appointments are available online 24/7. Have questions first? Reach us at dahliapiercing@gmail.com — we're happy to help before you commit to an appointment.
