Melissa began her piercing journey through the Fakir Intensive — one of the most rigorous professional piercing programs in the industry. She followed that foundation with years of continuing education through the Association of Professional Piercers, and completed her apprenticeship under an experienced mentor whose standards shaped everything about how she works today.
She's been part of Dahlia since nearly the beginning, and her approach hasn't changed: take the time, do it right, and make sure every client leaves feeling good about the experience.
From a child's first earlobes to the most advanced placements, Melissa has done it all. Every client — regardless of age, experience, or what they're getting — receives the same level of care and precision.
Outside the Studio
When Melissa isn't at Dahlia, she's usually doing something that involves a little adrenaline or a lot of thought — sometimes both. She competes in weightlifting, skydives, cliff dives, and kayaks. She reads voraciously, with a soft spot for business and philosophy. She travels when she can, loves the outdoors, and has strong opinions about both coffee and tea.
